How to choose the right makeup artist & hairstylist for your event

So, we all know any event planning can be chaotic. Choosing a theme, venues, menus and guest lists, it's a huge checklist. But you can't forget to add hair and makeup to that list! Here are a 4 tips to keep in mind when searching for your perfect Glam Squad.

Tip #1 Do some research

Now a days we all have facebook and instagram. Follow a few artists and check out their portfolios. *shameless plug* @ccbeautyhaus on facebook & instagram!

Tip #2 Set up a trial

We recommend getting a trial (for both hair and makeup) to ensure that you like the artists' work, how it wears, and if it lasts. Also to try if what you envision is truly the way you want to look on the day of your event. Have you ever pictured an outfit in your mind and then try it on only to be like "oh, no girl, what were you thinking?" lol cause same.

Tip #3 Have inspo pics

As artists, it is fun to just let our creativity flow, but that might not always line up with how YOU envision your look. We recommend finding a few pictures (Pinterest is the best place for inspo) on makeup looks and hairstyles that you like. From there, we can make suggestions and work together to create the perfect look for you!

Tip #4 Add 'Beauty' to your budget

Have you ever heard the saying "you get what you paid for" ? Don't cut corners on Glam. Think about it, all eyes are going to be on you and you will have pictures and videos of your event forever. You want to look back and reminisce on the fun you had not cringe at how your hair and makeup looked. Remember, this is your special day! Feel free to splurge a little!

When it's all said and done, we know it can still be stressful. However, don't neglect one of the most important details, your special day beauty! So, give yourself plenty of time to do some research, find the perfect artists, and set up a trial. And don't forget your inspo pics!!
